Inventory and stock

Manage availability and avoid selling out-of-stock items.

Stock controls how many units customers can order. Keeping it accurate prevents unavailable items from reaching checkout and gives buyers a reliable view of what your shop can deliver.

How stock works

Each item has one stock count shared by its marketplace and storefront placements. Every time a customer places an order, Popbob automatically subtracts the quantity they bought. You do not need to update stock manually for orders placed through Popbob.

Stock represents individual units, not the number of orders you can accept. If one order can contain several units, make sure the count covers the total quantity available.

Update availability

  1. 1

    Open the item

In the Superpanel, select Items and find the product using search, game, or category filters.

  2. 2

Enter the quantity ready to deliver

Use a whole number and count only stock you can fulfil now. Save the item when the new total is correct.

Use Refresh on the Items page when another staff member has changed stock and you need the latest values.

Popbob cannot track sales made elsewhere. If the same stock is sold outside Popbob, update the item so the remaining quantity stays accurate.

When stock runs out

When the final units are ordered, stock reaches zero and customers can no longer purchase the item. Add the new quantity after you restock and the item will become available again.

If an order already exists, changing stock does not cancel it. Open Delivery, contact the buyer if needed, and handle the order there.

Pause shop sales

If you will be unable to deliver orders, use vacation mode instead of changing every item. Open Settings in the Superpanel and select Delist from Marketplace. Your shop will stop accepting new orders while its items and stock remain unchanged.

When you return, select Relist on Marketplace to make the shop available again.
