Refunds and buyer protection

How Popbob protects payments and resolves problems.

Popbob holds the seller's order payout while delivery is pending. This gives the buyer time to check the order and dispute a problem before the funds are released.

How payment protection works

The seller uploads delivery proof and marks the order complete. You can then release funds after receiving the order or open a dispute if something is wrong. Completed orders have a seven-day dispute window unless you confirm receipt sooner.

An order that remains undelivered can be disputed after 48 hours. During a dispute, the shop wallet is frozen while staff review the order record and evidence.

Cancelling an order

For an undelivered order over 48 hours old, you can cancel for a refund to your Popbob balance if you have been waiting for a seller response for over 24 hours. Inactivity cancellation pauses when the seller has replied and is waiting for your answer. Select Cancel and refund to balancein My Orders, or keep waiting. Scheduled deliveries have a later waiting period; disputes and redeliveries require support review. See inactivity cancellation rules. You can also ask the seller to cancel an undelivered order.

If the seller does not deliver, the dispute option becomes available 48 hours after order creation. Do not confirm an order in exchange for a promised refund because confirmation removes your ability to dispute it.

How refunds are credited

When a Popbob order attached to your account is cancelled, its recorded order total is added to your Popbob account balance. You can use that balance as a payment method on a later order when it covers the full checkout amount.

Payment processor fees are shown separately from the Popbob order total at payment. They are not included in the account-balance credit created by an order cancellation.

Refresh your account after a cancellation to see the updated balance. Keep the order ID and cancellation notification if you need to ask Support about the credit.

Payment reviews and failed orders

If products sell out while a paid order is being finalized, Popbob cancels creation and returns the order amount to account balance. This prevents an order from being created without the required stock.

A high-risk payment can be held for manual review for up to 24 hours. If it is accepted, the order appears in My Orders. If it is rejected, the payment is refunded. Follow the message on the payment status page because this review happens before the normal delivery process.

A cancelled card authorization is different from an order refund. If the payment page says the authorization was cancelled, the bank may take several days to remove the pending hold.

Protect your claim

Keep delivery arrangements in Popbob chat, save the order ID, and check the seller's proof before confirming. If there is a problem, describe it precisely and upload evidence to the dispute support conversation before the deadline.
